Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is honouring its Medical Radiation Technologists as they celebrate Medical Radiation Technologists Week.

MRT’s include a diverse array of highly-trained professionals representing various technology-related disciplines in the healthcare field – all of whom will be honoured for their “behind the scenes” work during the week of November 7th – 13th. Spearheaded by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), MRT Week raises awareness about this little-known, but powerful area of healthcare and fosters understanding of both medical radiation technology and the professionals who use it.

MRT’s include Radiological Technologists, Radiation Therapists, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, and Magnetic Resonance Technologists. A display will be set up all week in the Main Atrium focusing on this dedicated group of healthcare professionals.
