Chief of Staff Appointment

Ron Saddington, President & CEO and Ron Nelson, Chair of the Board of Directors would like to congratulate Dr. Gordon Porter on his appointment to the position of Chief of Staff of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre effective January 2, 2006.

Dr. Porter, an Orthopaedic Surgeon, is an outstanding physician leader with extensive experience in academic centres in both Canada and the United States. He is recognized for his team building skills, enthusiasm and his vision for patient care. He will be a valuable addition to our senior leadership team.

I would also like to thank Dr. Andrew Turner for his commitment and contribution in the role of Acting Chief of Staff during this transitional period.
