It's Hats Off to Volunteers at TBRHSC as we celebrate National Volunteer Week April 17 - 24th, 2005.

This is an opportunity for us to say many thanks to our volunteers for their valuable contributions to our Health Sciences Centre. In the past year, approximately 370 volunteers have committed over 32,000 hours of service to the hospital. Volunteers assist in many areas including the Information Desk, Seasons Gift Shop, Gift cart, Courier Service, Day Surgery, Admitting, Ticket Centre, Rehab Transport, Renal, and ICU. Besides their direct service, volunteers raise funds to purchase equipment for our patients.

The Department of Volunteer Services seeks to recruit and train volunteers who will make a positive and worthwhile contribution to the well-being of patients at TBRHSC. Volunteers compliment the high quality care of professional staff. Volunteers contribute the gifts of time and talents, for the benefit of our Health Sciences Centre.
