- Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours before or after your treatment.
- Take no medication after 12 midnight, except high blood pressure medication with just a sip of water. If you use an inhaler (i.e., for asthma), please bring it with you to the hospital at each treatment. If you have diabetes, do a glucoscan prior to leaving home. Bring your Insulin and equipment with you (needle and syringes).
- Please leave all valuables at home; this includes jewellery, wallets, credit cards and any large sum of money.

- The treatment will take place in the Recovery Room. You will return to Surgical Day Care for a short time after the treatment.
- You will be ready to return home by about 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. You must be taken home by a responsible adult and this person must meet you in Surgical Day Care. A taxi or bus driver is not considered appropriate.
